A “Spider-Man” meets "Bourne Ultimatum" superhero mystery, The SIRE is the story of Donald Wright, a superhero forced by his own costume to save the world.
Working as a lowly secretary for cable news network WNBU, Donald Wright is hopelessly in love with his boss, TV news reporter J.J. Waterston. Desperate to prove he’s no ordinary joe, he accidentally finds himself at the epicenter of the greatest life-altering event in human history. Caught in a secret project undertaken by billionaire technology mogul Samuel Antonetti, Wright awakens to find himself stuck inside a costume that not only yields him incredible power, but also has total control over whoever is wearing it. Forced by the very costume to save a world now thrown into chaos he must unravel the mystery of why he has been transformed and just what exactly he is capable of. He is now the SIRE.
And he really, really doesn't want to be.
But the events that led up to this moment were no mere accident. Samuel Antonetti, the owner of Siphon Technologies (the world’s foremost cell-phone/satellite/GPS provider) had discovered an alien energy deep within space. When he attempted to harness this energy for his own profit and power, he unleashed something far more dangerous on Earth instead.
Because the energy he detected was in fact a prison cell containing a rogue creature known as The Presence.
Manipulated into cracking the cell by The Presence itself, he inadvertently unleashes its alien energies upon the Earth, genetically altering all who come in contact with it. For the first time, people are transformed into real life super humans, throwing the world into disarray and setting the stage for one of the most dramatic turning points in mankind. And worse yet, The Presence itself is now free of its prison, possessing the body of Samuel Antonetti; desperate to regain the power now weilded by The Sire.
As Donald Wright struggles to discover the hero within, Antonetii will stop at nothing to hunt him down. Anyone important in Wright’s life is now a target - including his would-be love J.J., the only confidant he’s had since this ordeal began. But can love conquer all? Or is the Earth as we know it doomed?
